Behind the scenes in Australian Radio
In 1933 Mr Alfred Edward Bennett of Radio Station 2GB travelled to the U.S. to buy radio programs on transcription disc.
He visited Radio Transcription Company of America (TRANSCO) and Grace Gibson was the person who showed him around and he bought everything they had. She took him to other transcription companies and he did the same. He then returned to Australia. |

Shortly after, Grace Gibson was offered the job to start up a production and distribution arm of 2GB, with what later was called ARTRANSA. Grace was given a return ticket to Australia and a 6 month contract.
